Inter Milan and Napoli are looking forward to making an opening bid for FC Porto midfielder Otavio.
According to reports in Portugal, Otavio agent Israel Oliveira is currently in Italy to negotiate with the two Serie A teams.
The Agent told his interviewer that “Otavio has a contract with Porto, and he’s happy here; he’s happy to play for the Dragoes.
“Of course, if Inter really made an official bid, we would study this possibility and the hypothesis of playing for the Nerazzurri.
“My job is to bring the proposal to the player, and then it will be up to him to eventually decide whether to accept it or not.”
The agent sat down with the representatives of the two clubs to hear what the conditions would be to sign Otavio away from the Portuguese league.
Record claims that the release clause in his contract with Porto has already dropped from the original €60m to €40m, but the deadline to activate it is July 15, 2023.
The 28-year-old had been sent off during the first leg of a Champions League round of 16 tie against Inter. However, Otavio had shown with his performance in that match why he is a key player for the Portuguese team.
He is an intelligent player with diverse abilities. He is known to be very quick and to make decisions quickly. Otavio is a versatile midfielder who can play multiple roles in the midfield.
In his previous match against Inter Milan, the midfielder talentfully took control of the midfield in the Champions League, even though Inter Milan won both legs.
