Chelsea have rejected Arsenal’s offer for Kai Havertz as they brace themselves for Manchester United’s second offer for Mason Mount.
Chelsea valued Mason Mount and Kai Havertz at £70 million. However, the club is currently facing the issue of whether to accept the deal or not.
It was understood that Chelsea was willing to sell Kai Havertz to Arsenal for the right back, and they didn’t want to lose him for free with two years remaining on his contract.
Kai Havertz earns £250,000 per week at Chelsea, and Arsenal are ready to match the wages in a bid to take him to the Emirates stadium.
During Havertz’s three seasons at Chelsea, he scored 32 goals in 139 matches. He also helped the team win the Champions League title over Manchester City in May 2021.
With personal terms already in place, it is now left for Arsenal to find an agreement with Chelsea on the Kai Havertz transfer.
Arsenal continue to look active in the transfer window; they are currently negotiating with West Ham on signing Declan Rice.
The Hammers are already demanding £100 million plus one. Arsenal had their first bid rejected by the West Ham executive, and they are looking forward to making the second bid.
