Long-time injured player Donny Van De Beek has returned to the Manchester United training ground after being compelled to train away for the first team.

A few days ago, it was reported that he is not too far away from returning to the field after suffering a horrible injury four months ago. The midfielder was ruled out for the rest of the campaign, but his return was a boost for the squad.

In addition, another midfielder had returned from injury ahead of the Bournemouth encounter. Scott McTominay was seen with the rest of the players.

However, it will be difficult for Van De Beek to get into the starting 11, as Erik Ten Hag is currently winning two more matches to qualify for the Champions League next season.

Van De Beek has been an exceptional player for Manchester United since he joined, but his former manager will consider putting him on a transfer list as the club plans a total clearout.

However the player claimed “Everything is going up now, I feel much better and I am on a good road now,” the Netherlands international said recently. “I have to eat a lot of protein as well to recover – I have to eat well for my knee.

“Football is a big part of your life and you enjoy it every day with your team-mates. And if you have to miss that, I try to see it now in a positive way. I am just getting closer every day to being on the pitch again and I can’t wait to be back.

“I can do almost everything already, we are on a good road now, no pain anymore, so this is positive.”
