Arsenal and Chelsea need to go to £90m to sign Moises Caicedo from Brighton

It was reported that if Arsenal and Chelsea want to price Moises Caicedo away from Brighton, they have to pay £90 million.

Arsenal wants a better replacement for Thomas Partey, and Arsenal Sporting Director Edu sees the Ecuadorian as a good one. The club made a £60 million bid, but it was rejected by Brighton.

Arsenal will go again with an improved deal before the end of the January transfer window.

Due to numerous injuries in the heart of Chelsea’s midfield, the club wants to sign a new midfielder after investing heavily in attackers. Chelsea has a bid of £55 million that is being pushed away by Brighton.

However, the London side doesn’t see the Caicedo deal as a major target. Chelsea is looking to sign Enzo Fernandez but is reluctant to meet his £120 million buyout clause.

Caicedo is a second choice. The Ecuadorian has submitted a transfer request and missed today’s training in a bid to force a move away from Brighton.

it didn’t go well with the Brighton board but they feel he has been poorly advised by new representatives.

This is the second time the two London sides will be battling to sign a player. Chelsea outbid Arsenal in a deal to sign Mykhailo Mudryk from Shakhtar Donetsk.

Brighton’s fee on Caicedo is way too much, and it will be difficult for Chelsea and Arsenal to meet his valuation.

He is a player who has played less than 50 games in the Premier League and hasn’t proven himself in any European tournament.

Brighton have been left unimpressed by his behavior and will only sell if the value is being met.

Brighton manager Roberto De Zerbi wants to keep his best players, who are eyeing qualifying for European football next season.
