Manchester United Will Do Everything in Their Power to Replace Cristiano Ronaldo

Manchester United vows to do everything possible to get a worthy replacement for Cristiano Ronaldo in the January transfer window. It is understood that Cody Gakpo is a leading target for the Red Devils.

Manchester United held talks with Cody Gakpo in the summer, and Antony was a leading target for the team. The club got him for £100 million. The club is coming back to tempt him away from PSV.

The talented winger can play as a striker; in the World Cup, Cody Gakpo scored a total of three goals and helped the Netherlands reach the quarterfinals.

Erik Ten Hag, who has already signed three players, told the press that he couldn’t speak about the club signing Gakpo in January.

The club is also looking forward to signing Joao Felix from Atletico Madrid in January. The Portuguese would not sign a new deal as they tend to look for new challenges elsewhere.

However, Manchester United faces real competition from Chelsea and Real Madrid for the Portuguese.

Erik Ten Hag is also an admirer of Goncalo Ramos, the striker who has taken over Cristiano Ronaldo place in Portugal’s starting 11.

The striker’s price tag wouldn’t be a cheap one, as Benfica wouldn’t want to sell its best player. Manchester United have a vacancy in the club after ripping off Cristiano Ronaldo’s contract worth £510,000 after the explosive interview with Piers Morgan.

However, Manchester United manager Erik Ten Hag has told the press that Manchester United will only sign a striker if one is available. The club wouldn’t want to go with someone who was cheap and only there for a short time.

The manager also believes that Anthony Martial can become a world-class striker for Manchester United if he stays healthy.

The striker revived his career under the Dutch manager but has had difficulty playing due to injuries in the last six months of the manager’s reign.

The striker will lead Manchester United against Burnley in the Carabao Cup on December 20, 2022.
